Listen to sexworkers
Pride House, fre 4 aug 11:00–11:45

Red Umbrella Sweden is a Swedish organisation and community for sex workers, advocating for the rights, safety, justice and self determination of sex workers. All RUS members are current or former sex workers with lived experience of doing sex work. Many are LGBTQI+.
Who and why is someone working as a sex worker in Sweden today? How do the multiple intersecting stigmas of being a sex worker, migrant, and/or LGBTQI+ affect sex workers’ access to services, health, and justice? When performing stigmatised labour, how do sex workers reclaim their pride? A panel of sex workers discusses the current situation for sex workers, with a focus on LGBTQI+ sex workers, migrant sex workers, and the consequences of the Swedish model of partial criminalization. We invite you to join the sex-working members of Red Umbrella Sweden as we tell our side of the story.
