Ukrainian LGBTIQ: warriors, volunteers, victims
Pride House, Fri 4 Aug 2:00 PM–2:45 PM

The Ukrainian LGBTIQ+ community has been fighting Russian aggression alongside the whole nation since the first day of this war. During the full-scale invasion which lasts for 500+ days, there were more coming-outs in Ukraine than ever before. Queers are on the frontline, in the volunteer movement, some of us have had to seek refuge in European countries. At this workshop, we will talk about the current situation with LGBTIQ+ people in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
KyivPride together with Nordic Ukraine Forum will tell stories and answer questions about Ukraine's heroic fight against Russian aggression. We will go over the situation in Ukraine at the moment, tell about Ukrainian activism in Sweden and dig deeper into the current human rights advocacy in Ukraine. Inquiries and discussions are very welcome.
