Seminarium om Uganda
Pride House, Tue 1 Aug 3:00 PM–3:45 PM

Uganda has introduced life imprisonment and the death penalty for LGBTQ people. How should Sweden react?
The situation for LGBTQ people in Uganda is getting worse. Recently, the death penalty was introduced and hatred and hostility towards LGBTQ people has become increasingly common. Similar legislation was about to be introduced ten years ago, but was stopped. What can Sweden and the EU do now? Should we continue to give development aid to countries that do not respect human rights?
