Hear Purity, a trans woman and activist from Uganda, share her story. She will also highlight Yren Rotela and Mariana Sepúlveda, both transgender women, activists and defenders of the human rights of LGBTIQ+ individuals in Paraguay.
LGBTQ+ people and especially trans people are fighting for their existence all over the world. We need to have rights under the law, in the world one of the biggest forces against our rights is religion. We are fighting this with activism. Purity Paige is a trans woman and trans activist from Uganda. She is also a board member of Trans gender Europe (TGEU) and Rainbow refugees Sweden and active member of Amnestys women´s group. Purity will share her life story and also highlight the cases of Yren Rotela and Mariana Sepúlveda, both transgender women, activists, and defenders of the human rights of LGBTIQ+ individuals in Paraguay. Purity can relate to their story. It's a narrative that resonates worldwide.
