The LGBTQI+ movement in the Western Balkans: Obstructions, bans and the fight for trans rights

This panel will examine the obstacles encountered by the LGBTQI+ movement in the Western Balkans, especially with the bans and obstructions that that occured in Belgrade and Banja Luka in the previous year.

Through this discussion, experts, activists, and community leaders shed light on the various forms of obstruction and bans on freedom of assembly faced by LGBTQI+ individuals in the region, while also emphasizing the importance of advocacy and activism in the fight for transgender rights. The panel will aim to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and inspire collective action to address the challenges and promote equality for the LGBTQI+ community in the Western Balkans.
