Gender-affirming healthcare in Sweden today is characterized by long waiting times, significant resource shortages, and an overburdened workforce. This leaves individuals in need of gender-affirming care in a state of limbo, as there is no clear entity to turn to for support during the extended wait. In response, civil society has stepped in and assumed this responsibility to prioritize the well-being of the target group.

A panel discussion between counselors who meet trans people in need of support within the region and civil society. What support is available today? What kind of questions do we face? What opportunities and challenges do we see?
